The E type element is the base unit for the VE series. Outward extending side plates are added and ventilated friction shoe assemblies with larger cooling air passages replace the non-ventilated and ventilated friction shoes of the E element. The tube is separable from the rim and is constrained on either side by the side plates which provide pinned restraint points for externally mounted friction shoes. The friction shoes have extra large cooling passages intended to allow rapid heat dissipation under grueling heavy operating conditions. These units are best utilized in high torque, low speed applications.
Oil States offers original ELASTA-FLEX inflation tubes for the VE Series clutches including 19VE475 and 27VE475. |
