SMATCO low pressure hydraulically driven winches are designed to provide anchor handling and towing capabilities to offshore operators working in all water depths, including ultra deep water worldwide. These "Mega" winches are powered by the SMATCO developed MM60 low pressure hydraulic motor - the largest and most technologically advanced motor of this type in the world today.

The SMATCO low pressure driven winches provide full speed and torque in in-haul and out-haul operation; a wide range of speeds and torques without stopping, clutching or gear

changing; and hydraulic dynamic braking at high speed and torques eliminating the need for additional dynamic braking systems. The winches are furnished with integral actuators for remote control of speed and torque and an optional automated towing control system.

All winches in the series are available in single, double, triple or four drum configurations with chain wildcats available in customer designated chain sizes. Optional levelwinds can be furnished for controlled spooling, if required.
