Oil States Manufactures a wide range of diaphragms for many applications: • Jacket Buoyancy • J-Tube Sealing • Mud Barrier • Pile Floatation
The most basic diaphragm is the mud-barrier diaphragm, which seals pile sleeves to prevent contamination of the sleeve when the structure is set on bottom. Mounted on the bottom of the pile sleeve, the diaphragm serves as a mud barrier until it is ruptured by the first pile section.
Advanced diaphragms include pile and structural floatation diaphragms and J-tube diaphragms capable of withstanding seabed water pressure for the deepest jackets. Oil States is the world leader in nylon-reinforced rubber diaphragms and has never had a reported failure of the many thousands of diaphragms supplied.
